Beautiful Narration!

This is such a wonderful classic fiction series. It's certainly not Christian, but does present some interesting theological themes. As others here have commented, the narrator is absolutely amazing. I think he's the best I've heard so far, and I listen to a lot of audio books.

Wonderful book and narration!

This is a fantastic recording. Robert Inglis does a wonderful job bringing in the different voices for the characters, as well as setting the songs to tune. I purchased this because I don't have the time to sit and read for long periods of time. I listen to it in small chunks at a time, and haven't been disappointed. You'll be glad you got this one. It's a gem.

I love this reader! He even sings the songs and you know Tolkien has lots of songs in his books. The tracks, at least in what I downloaded, are by chapter, which make it wonderfully easy to put on 1 chapter at a time... Tolkien can have some very long chapters.

My Favorite in the Trilogy

This was my favorite book/audiobook in the trilogy. The story is ever moving forward and entertaining to listen to. The world is easy to get submerged in and there's a few really cool deeper parts you'll miss out on if you just watch the movie.
