I got my hands on a Honeywell Prestige IAQ (THX9421) thermostat for rather cheap in comparison to retail cost and since I know next to nothing about hvac and installing a thermostat, I took to the internet for guidance and to make sure I didn't break our brand new AC and furnace and to ensure I follow the sub rules, I live in central Wisconsin which currently is around 75-80 on average.
The instructions provided and most of what I see online shows that you can either connect the thermostat to an interface module or the other setup shoes no interface but the internet gateway. As my ultimate goal is to have this thermostat connected to wi-fi, I am seeking some guidance on what pieces of the Redlink puzzle I need to get this thermostat operational with my furnace/AC and able to connect to the internet.
